Rome, December 2, 2006: we were here! A

That would be a great day we had already guessed a few weeks. Initially collecting the demands of ordinary people by the end of summer invite us to go to the streets as soon as possible against this shameful government. And, more importantly, working for almost a month in Viale Monza and among the cloisters of the Catholic University for organizing the event, answering phone calls and meeting different people, hundreds of students and citizens who wanted to give a meaning to indignation.
But we never could have imagined an event of this magnitude. Departure at 6 am from the Castello Sforzesco, 3 buses organized by us, plus many others who preferred the train. Comes to starting a troupe of TG1, which keeps us company for a good hour on the bus number one. The service will then broadcast the news of 13:30. Along the motorway from Milan to Rome, a constant passing coach parties of CdL (we will have met at least one hundred), then all the roadside restaurants and service areas of the A1 clogged with young and old, wrapped in their tricolor flags, only in the Alps, in the symbols of their political affiliation. So at the entrance of the City, a queue mileage (over one hour waiting time) with hundreds and hundreds of vehicles blocked access to the euro and other parking areas periferiche.E finally arrived, a human tide ever seen clogging up the underground and started marching on foot to reach the places of departure of the procession. Wherever a river in flood, men and women from all over Italy, of all ages and social classes, many for the first time in the square, all together to claim their right to exist and to make their voice clear.
choirs, it is true, someone even politically incorrect (and thank goodness!), But not a broken window, not a trash can tipped, not injured, nor an accident. A great lesson of civilization to the left of struggle and of government for sixty years that have monopolized the squares are not always so peaceful. A huge procession, and finally red tricolor, a large party of people who defended their own pockets but also their values, repeatedly thanking the police present with a flag and honoring the heroes of 500 meters of Nasiriyah.
And then, after almost two hours on foot, screams, of jumps and races, of passion and energy here to open our eyes to the unforgettable sight of the Piazza San Giovanni already filled to capacity, not ready to accept some simple party leaders, but the fathers (Berlusconi, Fini and Bossi ) of a whole community ready to embrace them and to hear all her warmth and her affetto.Alla end, tired but refreshed from the speeches, the cheers, the music, the applause of a nation truly united here by the words of Silvio best gift: "The organizers I pray to give you some news that has the unique (...) They evaluated your presence in more than two million people!" And the crowd gathers in one big bang of joy and satisfaction for a day that will go down in history of this country.
From political point of view, this was the consecration of what the leaders of the CdL aspire, but never would have imagined could exist: the party of freedom, the party of the center, the good people, workers, Christians and liberals, all united in defending their values and the challenge of relativism and nihilism of the Left. Here are the steps
important speeches of Berlusconi and Fini which confirms our thesis:
"Our idea of politics is fully secular, but there's something sacred. "Those who believe are never alone," said the Holy Father on his trip to Germany. And he is right: look around, see how many we are. We are many, many to believe we are in the same ideals. [...] We are the people of the center, a nation that shares the same values, the same vision of the future. We share the same vision of freedom, democracy, country, person, family, work and enterprise. This is our great strength. "
" There will be no envy, malice of some, false rumors, a lot, too much controversy fueled by art to share what this place together. This square shows the desire to represent a serious, credible alternative to the worst winning Government that Italy has ever had. [...] If we multiply the circle of freedom, where we will invite all leaders to close ranks, if you do, then, asks us what the square, as now seems far away is actually very near the center, if a majority of little in Parliament, has the majority of the country. "
a demonstration not topple a democratically elected government (that is, waiting for the recount boards), but surely the government has shown how weak and how little is close to the aspirations and interests of the Italians. Thanks to everyone here!
